This recipe is for two medium pizzas, or one large.
Easy Pizza Crust (2 medium or 1 large)
1 cup + 1 tablespoon (250 ml) tepid water
1 3/4 oz. (50 g) fresh yeast
2 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons salt
2 1/4 cups (285 g) all-purpose flour
Preheat the oven to 440 ˚F (225 ˚C).
Put the tepid water into a mixing bowl. Add the yeast and honey and stir until the yeast is dissolved and set aside for 5 minutes.
Min in the olive oil, salt and one third of the flour, then knead the dough using the dough hook attachment.
Add the rest of the flour, little by little. Continue kneading until the dough is smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
Cover with a clean dish towel and leave to rise for about 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
If you are making two pizzas, divide the dough into two pieces.
Roll out the dough, leave the edges a bit thicker if you like a nice crust.
Manuela’s favorite pizza sauce:
3 tablespoons tomato purée
1 teaspoon Santa Maria pepper mix
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon dried oregano
1–2 teaspoons water
Put the tomato purée, spices and water into a bowl and stir to mix.
Spread the sauce over the rolled-out pizza base(s).
I like to use Gouda here, what can I say – I’m a Dutch girl 🙂
Top with pepperoni and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes.
I also like to add some feta cheese and salad on top after baking.
Now nothing remains but to enjoy!
Have a nice day everyone!
Hugs from me to you.
