Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.

I must have these peppermint patties every Christmas, they are quick and easy to make and they make a lovely gift for anyone who loves the flavor of peppermint.

A classic!

Here is the recipe, enjoy!

Peppermint Patties

  • 3 3/4 cups (480 g) powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons (45 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract

Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix well.

When the mixture comes together it should be possible to roll into small balls.

Today I’m using a mini heart mold, but you can use any mold.

Press small balls of dough into the cavities.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Pop the patties out of the mold and melt some dark chocolate…

You will need about 7 oz. (200 grams) chocolate for these, just melt it in the microwave.

Dip each of the patties into the chocolate, using a fork to help you.

Let excess chocolate drip off.

Arrange on a sheet of greased baking paper and sprinkle with some christmassy decorations, if you like…

Leave to set completely before enjoying, or giving away as presents…

So yummy…

Make them whichever shape you like, here are my round patties.

To make them round you can use a cake pop mold like this one.

These christmassy sprinkles are from Wilton.

They look so festive – the perfect way to spread som Christmas joy!

Lovely with a cup of coffee or tea.

Peppermint and chocolate – a combination made in heaven!

I hope you are inspired to make these peppermint patties.

Hugs from me to you.

– And thanks to Sara Seidel and her mum for the beautiful cones on the photo below, love them!
