Chocolate Chip Snickerdoodles

Today I made these lovely chocolate chip snickerdoodles, the perfect weekend treat.

Here is the recipe, enjoy!

Chocolate Chip Snickerdoodles

  • 1 cup (230 g) unsalted butter
  • 2 2/3 cups (350 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup (225 g) regular sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) light brown sugar
  • 3 1/2 oz. (100 g) dark chocolate chips

Melt the butter in a saucepan on a medium heat. Leave it on the heat until the butter turns a golden caramel color, about 6 minutes.

Pour the melted butter through a sieve and into a mixing bowl.

Start whisking on a medium speed for about 5-7 minutes, or until the butter has come back to room temperature.

Sift the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, ground cinnamon and salt into a medium bowl.

Add the sugar and brown sugar to the melted butter, beat for about 2 minutes (medium speed).

Add both eggs and beat for another 2 minutes

Add the flour mixture and beat on a low speed until well blended.

Stir in the chocolate chips.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill for at least one hour.

Cinnamon mixture:

  • 3 tablespoons regular sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Put the sugar and ground cinnamon into a small bowl and stir to mix.

Make small balls from the cookie dough and roll them in the sugar/cinnamon mixture.

Arrange them on a lined baking tray and bake in a 390 ˚F (200 ˚C) oven for about 10 minutes.

Leave to cool completely.

    På norsk heter Creme De Tartar kremortartari og fåes enkelt kjøpt på apoteket. 

    Du har utrolig lekre bilder og jeg skulle gjerne kjøpt kokebøkene dine, men er veldig skeptisk til disse (og oppskriftene generelt), når det er så utrolig mye skrivefeil her på bloggen.

    Hei! Vi samler inn penger til en klassetur.. å jag tenkte at jeg skulle bidra med å lage disse… men hvor mange cookies blir det tilsammen? Eller anbefaler du noen andre cookies som d blir litt mange av? 😉 klem fra meg;)
