Snickers Cake by Linda

This recipe comes from my cousin Linda, who also happens to love baking.

Snickers Cake by Linda

  • 6 egg whites
  • 2 cups (440 g) regular sugar (I use powdered sugar)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla sugar (I use 1 teaspoon vanilla extract)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 9 oz. (250 g) peanuts
  • 1 packet Ritz crackers

Preheat the oven to 350 ˚F (180 ˚C).

Whisk the egg whites with the sugar until quite stiff (to make a meringue mixture).

Crush the Ritz crackers and peanuts.

Fold the crushed Ritz/peanut mixture into the meringue with the baking powder and vanilla.

Pour the mixture into a lined baking pan. Bake in the middle of the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.

Filling:

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1  1/4 cup (150 g) powdered sugar
  • a little less than 1/2 cup (100 g) butter
  • 7 oz. (200 g) chocolate (I use dark chocolate)

Put the powdered sugar and the egg yolks into a saucepan and place on a low heat. Slowly bring to the boil.

Melt the butter and chocolate and stir into the egg yolk mixture.

Spread the filling over the cake.

I like to decorate with some Dr. Oetker sprinkles here.

Cut into squares and share with the people around you.

    Denne oppskriften er så god! Selv har jeg en lignende, men jeg pleier å lage deilig karamel som jeg har mellom bunnen og sjokoladen :-)

    Dette er samme oppskrift som jeg bruker når jeg lager snickerskake. MEN, jeg bytter ut den lyse koksesjokoladen med Freia melkesjokolade. ANBEFALES på det varmeste, gir den beste smakskombinasjonen 😉

    Jeg prøver og lager den nå! Men jeg får ikke til marengsen, jeg bruker melis istedet for sukker. Skal jeg ta 4 1/2 dl melis?

    hei, manuela,, j har laget fyll til kaken, smaker og lukter rå egg i den sjoko blandingen ,skal den være sånn, eller gjør j noe feil !!! venter på svar :)
