This frosting is so smooth and delicious on any cupcakes or cakes.
This frosting is made with dark melted chocolate and a chocolate paste made of cocoa powder and hot water.
I add a spoon of strong coffee in the chocolate frosting make this frosting even more delicious.

This frosting works amazingly on cupcakes and cakes if you don’t like coffee or cream cheese just omit it.

  4. hello there…is it philadelphiaost with Freia chocolate same as nutella?

  5. Hei, hva er det mørke i den lille skålen? Er det kaffe eller vaniljeekstrakt?

    • Hei Ingelin,

Hello Olia and Virly Amalia, you can use regular cream cheese, just one extra tablespoonful of cocoa powder and a little extra powdered sugar to taste.

Hi, can I replace the Philadelphia chocolate cream cheese with just cream cheese? We don’t have that here ♥

Hi Fernanda, you can indeed just use normal cream cheese, but you may want to add a little extra cocoa powder if you do.
      Happy baking!

  8. Hi, can I remove the chocolate used in this recipe to make regular cream cheese frosting instead?

  9. My cake came out very tasty….thank you for the amazing recipe…my question is
a)-few ingredient 200gm is 1 cup and 1 ingredient 250gm is 1 cup…so which one shall we follow
b)-what do I do with the extra Philadelphia chocolate cream cheese

Hi Neha, the grams and cup measurements vary according to type of ingredient. 1 cup flour, for instance, doesn’t weight the same as 1 cup butter.
Cream cheese can be used in many recipes, or just as a spread on a piece of toast.
