Hello everyone!

These delicious baked bars consist of a digestive biscuit and coconut base which is covered with white and dark chocolate, butterscotch and sweetened condensed milk…

Here is the recipe, enjoy!

Baked bars:

  • 5 oz. (150 g) fresh coconut
  • 20 crushed Digestive biscuits
  • 1 cup (230 g) butter, melted
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 1/2 oz. (100 g) walnuts
  • 3 1/2 oz. (100 g) dark chocolate
  • 3 1/2 oz. (100 g) butterscotch chips or crushed Daim
  • 3 1/2 oz. (100 g) white chocolate

 

Bring out all the ingredients.

Toast the coconut in a 390 ˚F (200 ˚C) oven for about 10 minutes, or until golden. Leave to cool.

Turn the oven down to 320 ˚F (160 ˚C),

Put the toasted coconut, crushed Digestives and melted butter into a bowl and stir until everything is well blended.

Press the mixture into the base of a 8 x 12-inch (20 x 30 cm) pan.

Place in the freezer for about 10 minutes, then bake in a 320 ˚F (160 ˚C) oven for about 15 minutes.

Sprinkle over the walnuts…

…and the butterscotch chips (or crushed Daim), dark and white chococate.

Pour over the sweetened condensed milk and return to the oven for another 30-40 minutes.

Done! Leave to cool, then chill for 30 minutes.

Cut into squares and enjoy!
