Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.
Yesterday I made these delicious rolls filled with peach jam and dark chocolate. The perfect treat on a Sunday afternoon… or anytime.
Here is the recipe, enjoy!
Sweet dough:
- 2 3/4 cups (350 g) all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons (35 g) powdered milk
- 2 tablespoons (35 g) regular sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 3/4 oz. (50 g) fresh yeast
- 3 large eggs + 1 egg yolk
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) tepid water
- 2/3 cup (150 g) butter
Put all the dry ingredients into a mixing bowl and add the butter.
Dissolve the yeast in the tepid water.
Add the eggs and egg yolk to the mixing bowl.
Add the yeast mixture…
Knead the dough for 20 minutes.
The dough may seem too sticky at first, but after 20 minutes it will be soft and smooth.
Don’t add any more flour at this stage.
Leave to rise for about 45 minutes, room temperature.
Dust your work surface with some flour and tip out the dough.
Roll out the dough to a large rectangle.
Heat the peach jam in the microwave for a few seconds before spreading onto the rolled-out dough.
Roll up the dough like a swiss roll and cut into pieces.
Arrange on a lined baking tray and leave to rise again for about 10 minutes.
Sprinkle over some chocolate chips before baking… so yummy!
Bake in a preheated oven (350 F/180 C) for about 15 minutes, use the fan setting if your oven has one.
