Hello everyone, I hope you are all well!
Today I made one of my favorite desserts of all time, which is banana pudding. I’ve tasted numerous versions when travelling in the US, including at the famous Magnolia Bakery.
I have to say that the LA branch was my favorite, just loved that bakery.
Here is the recipe for banana pudding – enjoy!
Banana pudding
- 1 quantity Crème pâtissière
- 1 quantity homemade Vanilla Wafers.
- 2-3 bananas
Make the Crème pâtissière as described, then cool.
Make the homemade Vanilla Wafers.
Bring out dessert bowls or other containers, the white containers shown below are of the same type as used at the Magnolia Bakery. I got hold of these boxes here.
Fill with homemade Vanilla Wafers, bananas and the Crème pâtissière.
Leave to chill for a few hours before serving. This isn’t strictly necessary though, you can dig in straight away if you can’t wait…
I hope I was able to tempt you…
Wishing you all a wonderful day!
Hugs from me to you.

Hai, I would like to ask is it possible if I want to make this in chocolate flavor? If can, how? Thanks.
Hi Ivana, you could make a chocolate custard instead of the crème pâtissière. 🙂
