Today I’ve made a delicious salse sauce with my brother who’s visiting from the US. I think he misses his wife’s cooking, she’s a great cook and she makes an amazing salsa sauce, tacos, and more.
This sauce is so good, and very easy to make…
Salsa Sauce (yield: 26 oz./750g)
- 1 can (14 oz./400 g) tomato purée
- 3/4 cup + 1 tablespoon (200 ml) water
- 1/4 white onion
- 3-4 tomatoes
- 4 scallions/spring onions
- 1-2 green jalapeños
- 1 bunch cilantro/coriander
- 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
Bring out all the ingredients.
Chop the scallions/spring onions.
Finely chop the green jalapeño. I use two, but if you don’t like it too hot just use one.
Chop the tomatoes quite finely.
Now chop the onion. If you use more than 1/4 of an onion the sauce will have a very pungent onion flavor.
Chop the cilantro/coriander quite finely, I use one whole bunch here.
Put everything into a food processor or blender, add the tomato purée, water and garlic salt.
Pulse the mixture until the ingredients come together as a sauce.
Smells delicious!
Perfect to serve with some tortilla chips.
This salsa sauce is perfect with tacos, tortillas or as a tortilla chip dip.
I hope’ll try to make this sauce!
Wishing you all a wonderful day.
Hugs from me to you.
