Today’s temptation is a delicious fudge brownie, recipe courtesy of Martha Stewart.
- 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter
- 7 1/2 oz. (215 g) chocolate
- 10 oz. (290 g) regular sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup (85 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Preheat the oven to 350 ˚F (180 ˚C).
Melt the butter and chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water or in the microwave.
Add the sugar, followed by one egg at a time. Stir until just combined.
Add the vanilla, flour and salt and stir until just combined. Pour the mixture into a greased and lined 8-inch (20 cm) square cake pan.
I use this brownie pan from Wilton.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes.
Leave to cool. Freeze for 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
It’s so delicious!
Even better with some ice cream and fresh berries on the side…
