Today’s temptations are perfect for Christmas, I first saw the recipe on this blog, where you can find many more recipes with step-by-step photos.
Here is the recipe, enjoy!
- 4 cups (500 g) powdered sugar
- 4 oz. (115 g) cream cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 6 oz. (170 g) dark chocolate
Put the cream cheese into a mixing bowl and beat until smooth. Add the powdered sugar, little by little, beating until incorporated.
Add the peppermint extract with the last of the powdered sugar.
Roll the dough into small balls, about one tablespoons per candy. You’ll end up with approximately 35-40 balls.
Create a small indention in each ball using a spoon or your finger, or a gumball like I did here.
Melt the chocolate and add a tablespoonful to each of the indentions.
Chill until set.
If making these ahead, use tempered chocolate as it will stay nice and shiny for longer.
