Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.
Today’s recipe is a Christmas tradition in my home, it tastes even better than it looks and it is a big hit with both children and adults.
Enjoy!
Manuela’s Waldorf Salad
- 3 apples, such as Granny Smith
- 5 pineapple rings
- 3 celery stalks
- 3 1/2 oz. (100 g) Chinese cabbage
- 3 1/2 oz. (100 g) grapes
- 1/2 cup (50 g) walnuts
- 1/2 cup (60 g) raisins
- 1 red pepper
- 1 green pepper
Cut the apples and peppers into dice, chop the celery and pineapple rings and halve the grapes.
Shred the cabbage and roughly chop most of the walnuts, reserving a few for decoration.
Sprinkle over the raisins.
Now make the dressing.
Manuela’s Waldorf Salat Dressing
- 2 1/4 cups (500 ml) low fat sour cream
- 3/4 cup + 1 tablespoon (200 ml) mayonnaise
- juice from 1 small can pineapple
- 2-3 tablespoons regular sugar
- 1-2 teaspoons curry powder
Stir all the ingredients together to make a smooth dressing, then add sugar and curry powder to taste.
Sometimes I add a bit more pineapple juice.
I like to serve the dressing on the side, but I know some people prefer to dress the salad with it before serving.
Decorate with the reserved walnuts.
The perfect side dish for our Christmas dinner!
I wish you a great day – hugs from me to you.

Jeg elsker Waldorfsalat – ikke minst pga. den kremaktige smaken sammen med frukt og grønt.
Selv om din versjon er uten kremfløte skal jeg likevel teste den ut.
Så koselig håper den faller i smak.
