Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well. Some of you may even have the day off since today is Ascension Day.
If you have eggs, cream cheese and Oreos in the house you can make this delectable Oreo Cheesecake…
This Oreo cheesecake consists of the following:
- Brownie base
- Vanilla cheesecake + Oreos
- Chocolate mousse
Here is the recipe, I hope you’ll like it.
Start by making the base.
- 1/2 portion of Manuelas Favorite Brownies
Make the mixture for Manuela’s Favorite Brownies, halving the quantities. You can find the recipe here.
Pour the mixture into a 10-inch (26 cm) round cake pan, then bake for 20 minutes only. Leave to cool completely.
- brownie base (as described above)
- 32 oz. (900 g) cream cheese
- 1 1/4 cup (285 g) regular sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla paste
- 1/4 cup (50 ml) sour cream
- 2 1/2 – 3 1/2 oz. (75-100 g) Oreos, roughly crushed
Preheat the oven to 212 ˚F (100 ˚C).
Put the cream cheese into a mixing bowl, I use Philadelphia original here but use the one you like best.
Add the sugar and beat until well blended
Add the eggs one at a time, beating between each addition. Do not overmix.
Fold in the vanilla paste, Oreos and sour cream.
Pour the cheesecake mixture on to the cooled brownie base and bake in the preheated oven for 3 hours. There’s no need for a waterbath here.
Leave to cool for at least one hour before topping with the chocolate mousse. You can find the recipe for the chocolate mousse here (omit the Daim).
Chill the mousse for an hour before spreading over the top of the cake.
Put the cake in the refrigerator overnight.
Unmould this delicious cheesecake and share with the people around you.
You deserve a slice, too…
I hope I was able to tempt you, have a nice day everyone.
