Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well. Some of you may even have the day off since today is Ascension Day.

If you have eggs, cream cheese and Oreos in the house you can make this delectable Oreo Cheesecake…

This Oreo cheesecake consists of the following:

  • Brownie base
  • Vanilla cheesecake + Oreos
  • Chocolate mousse

Here is the recipe, I hope you’ll like it.

Start by making the base.

Brownie base:

Make the mixture for Manuela’s Favorite Brownies, halving the quantities. You can find the recipe here.

Pour the mixture into a 10-inch (26 cm) round cake pan, then bake for 20 minutes only. Leave to cool completely.

Oreo cheesecake:

  • brownie base (as described above)
  • 32 oz. (900 g) cream cheese
  • 1 1/4 cup (285 g) regular sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla paste
  • 1/4 cup (50 ml) sour cream
  • 2 1/2 – 3 1/2 oz. (75-100 g) Oreos, roughly crushed

Preheat the oven to 212 ˚F (100 ˚C).

Put the cream cheese into a mixing bowl, I use Philadelphia original here but use the one you like best.

Add the sugar and beat until well blended

Add the eggs one at a time, beating between each addition. Do not overmix.

Fold in the vanilla paste, Oreos and sour cream.

Pour the cheesecake mixture on to the cooled brownie base and bake in the preheated oven for 3 hours. There’s no need for a waterbath here.

Leave to cool for at least one hour before topping with the chocolate mousse. You can find the recipe for the chocolate mousse here (omit the Daim).

Chill the mousse for an hour before spreading over the top of the cake.

Put the cake in the refrigerator overnight.

  1. Spørsmål angående oreo cheescake? Skal ovnen stå på 100 C mens kaken er inni i 3 timer? Eller betyr preheated at jeg skal slå av ovnen når kakes settes inni og at den skal stå der i tre timer?

    this cake looks delicious. reaally want to try this out. but i have one qeustion. if you gone bake this cake for 3 hours. wil the brwonie cake not burn? one your pfoto it looks so moist. is it gone stay like that?

  4. Hi, can I bake the brownie and cheesecake at the same time instead of baking it separately? 

    If I can, then do the cheesecake need a water bath? Or to be covered with aluminium foil?

      Hi Oxy. If you bake the brownie and the cheesecake at the same time the mixtures will blend into each other, so we recommend baking them separately, as written in the recipe.

      Hi Rachel, vanilla paste is a blend of concentrated vanilla extract and vanilla bean powder. Vanilla paste is very concentrated, and it gives a great taste to cakes and bakes. 🙂

  5. Hei! Jeg leter etter den oppskriften på Oreo kake du hadde her for en del år tilbake. Den med hvit sjokolade, og som ikke skal stekes. Hvor ligger den nå? Blir veldig takknemlige for svar 🙂
