Hello everyone, Friday is here again – the perfect day to make a batch of brownies!
Yesterday I made Manuela’s favorite brownies, you can find the recipe here.
Make the brownie batter, but before baking add just under 1 oz. (25 g) licorice powder to the mixture.
Oven baking time remains the same as for Manuela’s favorite brownies.
These are so good, I urge you to try making them!
You could add some chopped nuts to the batter as well for some extra crunch.
Enjoy your weekend!
Hugs from me to you.

Hi! Thank you for the recipe 🙂
I’m a beginner so i’m sorry if my question is lame.
I baked this brownies and it tasted very nice.
But i have a problem with the center part of the brownies. While the outer part turns out just nice and similar to the pictures, the center part turns out to be very wet and not firm.
I tried to cut the outer part out and bake the center part again (i’m not sure whether i can do this, but this is the only thing i can think of) and freeze it again but it didn’t really help (it’s still not firm and melting).
I was wondering where did i go wrong and what are the stuff i need to take note so the center part can be more firm next time.
My friends ate the outer parts and they all love it so I will definitely bake the brownies again.
Thank you for your assistance 🙂
Hi Felicia, it seems like the brownies would have needed a few more minutes in the oven. The center should not be very wet, but still slightly gooey (not dry like a regular chocolate cake).
Happy baking!
