Happy Friday everyone! The sun is shining and the sky is blue, spring is definitely here and I just love it.
I just got back from a wonderful five day trip to Chicago, I was invited there by the International Houseware Show and I had such a great time!
But now I’m back home again, and ready to share the recipe for a delicious dessert – chocolate pudding.
It’s delicious as a cake filling, or just as it is after Sunday dinner.
Chocolate pudding
- 1/3 cup (75 g) regular sugar
- 2 tablespoons corn starch (such as Maizena)
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons pure unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 1/4 cups (500 ml) full-fat milk
- 4 1/4 oz. (120 g) dark chocolate
- 1 tablespoon (15 g) unsalted butter
Put the sugar, corn starch, salt and cocoa powder into a saucepan and stir to combine.
Add the egg yolks and whisk for a few seconds.
Stir in the milk and place on a medium heat.
Varm the mixture for 8 minutes while whisking continously.
Remove from the heat, add the chocolate ad butter and stir until smooth.
Pour the mixture through a sieve and into a bowl.
To cool the mixture, put the bowl into a larger bowl filled with cold water.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill for a few hours, alternatively divide the mixture between pretty dessert bowls or glasses before placing in the fridge.
Soooo good…
Have a great weekend everyone.
Hugs from me to you.
