Hello everyone, long time no “see”!
I’ve been abroad for quite some time, those of you who follow me on Snap chat may already know. My Snap is “passion4baking” if you want to join me “behind the scenes”.
In a few weeks’ time I will launch my brand new digital magazine called “Passion4Baking The Magazine”. Everything will be in English, and the first issue is free.
The magazine is the reason I went to the USA – I went there to take some fabulous photos. The location was an amazing farm which is the home of my two friends, Melissa and Steve.
You will get to read and see more about them when the Holiday issue is launched this November.
I came back home just to launch my new book “Manuela’s baking bible”, a book which contains 175 amazing recipes.
Even if I love making books, I’ve decided not to write any more books for at least 5 years. I think Manuela’s Baking bible will keep you busy for quite some time…. Hopefully the English version will be published in the near future.
Thank you so much to my sponsors, Bertazzoni Scandinavia, Kitch’n Norge, Dr. Oetker Norge Hancockcupcakes.no og Harney & Sons who sponsored the launch with beautiful products.
From now on I will use all my time on the magazine, and I think many of you will enjoy it as much as I enjoy making it.
That said, I’ll also use more time on my blog, and on developing my YouTube channel.

Good luck.
Ok, now to the recipe.
I just love a good smoothie, and a few weeks ago I was at a local shopping mall where there is a juice bar called “The Nakedjuicebar”.
I had one called Berrie liqorice and gosh it was so delicious… I checked their website for the ingredients, and I got to try my new Oster blender.
All I can say is WOW – what a powerful blender! Lucky for you, I get to have a Give-away with Oster blender a bit closer to Christmas, maybe you’re the lucky one?
Berry Liqurice smoothie (serves 2)
- 1 banana
- 7 raspberries (fresh or frozen)
- 2 splashes vanilla yogurt (I use 0,5% fat yogurt)
- 1 large glass oat milk
- 3/4 tsp raw licorice powder (I use Johan Bülow)
- ice cubes (optional)
Put everything into the blender.
I use this raw licorice powder, soo good…
Ready in no time.
If you are fan of licorice you’ll love this – the combination of raspberries + licorice = heaven.
If you like tropical flavours you’ll love this smoothie – Tropic Sunrise Crusher.
Tropic Sunrise Crusher (serves 2)
- 1 mango
- 2 passion fruit
- 5 strawberries
- 1 glass freshly juiced apple juice
- 1 glass freshly squeezed orange juice
- ice cubes (optional)
Same thing here: just put everything into the Oster blender and blend for a few seconds – smoothie ready.
This recipe is also inspired by the menu at “The Nakedjuicebar”, and the flavour is simply amazing.
I wish you all a great week!
You can order my new book here. (Norwegian link.)

Den skulle være så hjertelig velkommen i mit køkken 🙂
Is aniseed essence okay to substitute for the liquorice powder ?
Hi Tasneem, if you like the flavour of the aniseed essence you can use it, but then a few drops will be sufficient.

I would love to own your book but on a student budget for 2 more years I don’t think I would be able to afford it myself. As an Icelander with a Norwegian boyfriend, I have picked up Norwegian quite well so I have no doubt that It would come to good use 🙂
p.s. I love your website and recipes, bookmarked it as soon as I stumbled up on the address in Cacas, Oslo this summer 🙂
