Hello everyone.
In these “in-between-days” I thought I’d show you a fantastic smoothie, a smoothie which doesn’t contain any sugar apart from bananas and a little vanilla yogurt.
This Bananarama Smoothie is inspired from the Nakedjuicebar menu.
There is a Nakedjuicebar here in Jönköping where I live, and they have the most delicious smoothies and juices. Last time I made a smoothie inspired from Nakedjuicebar, I made one with berries and licorice. You can find it here.
My favorite these days is a smoothie called Bananarama.
Bananarama contains banana, vanilla yogurt, oat milk, crushed ice and vanilla protein powder.
So delicious.. if you ever visit Nakedjuicebar I can highly recommend it.
That said, you can make it yourself like I did today.
Bananarama Smoothie (serves 3)
- 2 frozen bananas
- 3 scoops vanilla yogurt (I usually freeze low fat vanilla yogurt in an ice cream container)
- 3/4 – 1 1/4 cup (200-300 ml) oat drink
- 5-6 ice cubes
- 3 tbsp vanilla protein powder (optional)
I’m using this vanilla protein powder here, but simply omit if you don’t have it.
I bought this in a sports shop in Sweden, it’s great for milkshakes and smoothies and doesn’t have any added sugar.
Put all the ingredients into a blender. I use my new Oster blender here.
You can get the blender here. (Swedish links.)
Tip: I use frozen bananas. Just peel, put in a ziplock bag and freeze until needed.
I use lots of ice.
The Oster blender I use is so powerful, it’s perfect for smoothies!
The tamper which comes with the blender makes it even easier to make a great smoothie.
Pour the smoothie into milkshake glasses to get a more luxurious feeling…
One straw into each glass and voilà – ready! This amount is enough for 3 quite large milkshake glasses, just so you know.
I hope you’re tempted!
I wish you all a great week ahead.
Hugs from me to you.
